I left a major real estate franchise after many years to open my own independent firm I call HB&D Realty, whose initials stand for all areas of the real estate industry Housing, Business & Developments. I was cautioned by colleagues of the difficulties to be encountered taking such a daunting leap. The biblical story of David versus Goliath comes to mind with me as David and Goliath the national real estate corporations. Like David who endlessly practiced his sling shot technique, I have put forth the time and effort to become the best real estate broker I could be. When it comes to handling the purchase or sale of what will probably be your most valuable material possession it should matter more the competency, skills, and integrity of the agent, not so much the size of the real estate firm. As a member of the National, State, and Local Association of Realtors, as well as one of the country's largest Multiple Listing Service (MLS), I am continuously improving my abilities to provide both Buyers and Sellers with the goal of saving them time, money, and stress.
I still operate the same way I did when I was with a national company. It does not matter the size of the firm, you still get the value of my experience. Having been a lifelong resident of the Chicago area, I know the region well.
